KATALOG is a boutique film company built on a simple belief: before looking outward, look around.
The idea began at the Busan Asian Film School, where founders met as filmmakers coming from different parts of Asia but facing many of the same realities. During their time there, they made a commitment to explore the creative talent, knowledge, networks and resources already existing within their regions rather than instinctively looking outside Asia first.
From that conversation, KATALOG was born.
Working across South Asia and Southeast Asia, KATALOG seeks to create a bridge between filmmakers, producers and creative communities that have historically worked alongside one another, but not often enough with one another.
The company champions bold, auteur-driven cinema, supporting filmmakers with distinctive voices and stories willing to challenge familiar forms. Its ambition is not simply to produce films, but to help build a more interconnected Asian filmmaking ecosystem, one where resources, ideas and opportunities can travel across borders.
